St. Columban School, a Catholic grade school in Loveland, needed help telling their story of excellence while living their values of humility and common good. Unlike most of the brands we work with, their "friendly competitors" are sister schools in the Archdiocese. They needed to shine to invite more families into their school and do it as graciously as possible.
On the brink of registration and open house season, the goals were to create a brand direction, story and updated visual identity that their entire school community could take pride in and share.

in and beyond the classroom
The brand work that Tara and her team have done for us will be pivotal to our school's evolution. She was able to distill 80 years of history into a thoughtful message and identity that our staff and families can feel proud of and connect to. In collaboration with the St. C marketing team, we honed their brand direction first. We focused on how the school - for over 90+ years - educates the whole child to best prepare them for the future in a way that only a private school can. Using faith, family, and future as the pillars we then rallied around the word "celebrate" to help express their academic excellence with a new mantra: "Celebrating our gifts in and beyond the classroom."
This was a mindset change for the school to think about communicating their talents and accomplishments as a true celebration of their students' gifts in a gracious and proud way.
We created a visual identity that was rooted in heritage with modern-day appeal. The new logo now holds a great deal of meaning and significance. The shield representing protection and strength. The simple Celtic style cross represents the Irish heritage of Saint Columban and emphasizes that faith is at the epicenter of the school. History and tradition are expressed with the addition of the year established. With a word mark that is sturdy and unwavering.
