In a short amount of time since we started Ellie Brands, we have grown up. Our work has evolved and our clients have too. It's been an interesting year, this 2020. And while we worked through some unexpected challenges, we uncovered new truths about our brand that helped us refine our own story.
We realized that, while small, we are mighty creatives and extremely proud of the work we have done together with our clients. We want that work to truly shine. This is why a brand refresh of our own is in order. To harness our same promise to craft brands that inspire, but with a new look. One that will shine a light on the brands we serve and highlight our attention to detail and sophisticated approach while being agile partners.
ELLIE IS MORE THAN A NAME. IT'S OUR MANTRA.
Ellie means shining light. And we are on a mission to shine a light on small businesses, clarify what makes them unique, and help them rise through ongoing brand building.
With this mantra at the forefront, we evolved our logo from what was a curvy name signature, to a creative abstract style that used the design rule of thirds to build the brand. Carefully crafted to highlight our attention to detail and precision and rooted in what's most important - the BRANDS we serve.
We created a custom and abstract typeface for our primary logo font. We pair it with Brandon Grotesque in all caps and perfectly kerned. As a more stylized addition, we use CocoGoose for brand headers and smaller, single-use applications. Together these fonts speak to Ellie Brand's purposeful and clear approach.
As a clean and contemporary approach, Ellie Brands' new primary colors are a blend of greyscale hues to really allow our client's work to shine.
A hard farewell to the original coral and turquoise tones, our new palette lets us stand strongly behind the brands we serve and allows their illuminated brands to shine.
