We are looking for a charismatic Marketing Manager to join our small but mighty team. We need a mix planner and doer, community manager and journalist who can plan and create best-in-class marketing content for strategy-driven brand, social media, and web campaigns.

  • Develop and execute the marketing plan for Ellie Brands as well as our clients' brands

  • Work directly with clients to uncover content ideas, address business objectives, and share ideas

  • Help create and publish engaging content for blogs, newsletters, emails, social channels, websites, video, presentations, and more

  • Collaborate with clients, marketing and design teams to plan and develop content, style, and layout

  • Put a reporter and researcher hat on, ask great questions, and gather the information you need to produce accurate and relevant content

  • Write blog posts and targeted emails based on marketing campaigns

  • Optimize content according to SEO best practices

  • Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic

  • Develop an editorial calendar and ensure the client is on board

  • Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection)

  • Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas to draw the audience’s attention and position yourself as a thought leader and subject matter expert


  • Wix, WordPress, Squarespace, Shopify and other CMS to publish content

  • Google Suite

  • Social media platforms and planning and publishing software like Loomly and Planoly

  • Email marketing software including Mailchimp and Constant Contact

  • Project management and time tracking software like Asana 


  • A Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in journalism, communications or marketing and at least 4 years of work experience (freelance acceptable)

  • Experience delivering work to a client - creating client-ready drafts, following process, meeting deadlines, working within brand guidelines, communicating and merchandising ideas

  • Knowledge of social media legal guidelines

  • Experience maintaining a blog

  • Writing samples along with a resume

Must live in Cincinnati to work at our co-working space CoHatch in Mason and meet with clients at their offices as needed. Opportunity to work remotely most days during COVID-19 Pandemic.
